Wow! First to apologize. As the Hunt's deadline drew near, we here at MDH knew that the experience wouldn't be all that we needed it to be without a little more publicity and, of course, more sponsors. With the emails from interested parties were still coming in, we held off on announcing a postponement of the Hunt. For some reason, the task of updating the website went completely unnoticed in last few days due to our rush to gain the interest of a few investors. So, once again, we apologize! The Hunt WILL continue once proper funding has been established. We will send out an email as soon as we have more information.

We would like to announce the release of our sponsor affiliate program. We offer financial incentives to anyone who brings in sponsors to our contest. For each paying sponsor that you bring in you will get an immediate $100 of the sponsor sign up fee. You will also receive a percentage of the Overage Pool.

The Overage Pool will be 20% of all profit made during the contest from sponsors. The profit is any money over the $1,000,000 prize that is not used to run the contest. Be sure to have the sponsor enter your email in the Referrer Email field on the sponsor sign-up page and when they have paid we will contact you to give you your money.

Training Tips for contestants of The Million Dollar Web Hunt

Here are some tips on how to "train" for the upcoming contest. The contest is still a ways off, but now is the time to prepare! As some of the first contestants on-board you have the opportunity to really be ready so you can WIN. During the contest you will be searching sponsor sites to find Access Keys. The Access Key is a link to the question for that site. (These will not be on the sponsor sites until the race has begun, but if you can navigate the site easily you will find it faster when it is there.) The answer will be found somewhere on the site you are surfing. After you have correctly entered the answer to that site's question you will be given the clue to the next site. The more you know about each site the faster you will solve the clue to get to your next "stop" on your way to one MILLION Dollars. With a few hundred stops in the race you could waste a lot of precious time if you aren't very familiar with the sponsor sites. Spend time really getting to know these sites so you can solve the clue to get there, find the Access Key, and quickly answer the question to move forward.

We have been working hard spreading the word out about the Million Dollar Web Hunt. Contestant signups have increased as our exposure grows. Some of our contestants have been helping too, and to you we say "thank you!".

We encourage all of you to tell your friends, coworkers, family, and people you meet. Post this contest in forums, chat rooms, and other appropriate areas. Please be respectful of people's space and do not send spam emails or post where it is forbidden. Remember that in order for this to work to everyone's advantage we need lots of contestants. This will be more fun and more effective the more people are involved. In order for sponsors to get their money's worth we need to give them good exposure to lots of people who are serious about competing. Just remember that as the contestant numbers increase, so will the sponsors. (The more sponsors we have, the more $$$ we can give away – up to a MILLION dollars.)

The contestants keep pouring in as word of the Million Dollar Web Hunt spreads. We've overcome a hiccup or two in the signup process, so if you have tried to register before and were unable, try again and we'll be glad to have you on board. So, good news! Just after releasing our first press release, we've recieved many emails and inquiries AND our first sponsor signup as well. As our first sponsor in the Million Dollar Web Hunt, I'd really like to encourage everyone to go get familiar with QDial's service : QEverything, Web and Phone surveys. Remember that the access keys and possible trivia questions will be based off the sponsor sites. It is in any serious contestant's best interest to be prepared by being completely familiar with our sponsors' websites.

This is monumental for me. It means that this idea really can work. I encourage all of you to tell your friends to come check us out. If all goes well, we'll be giving away that $1,000,000 in a little less than 6 months.

Being familiar with the sites you will be visiting during the contest will put you ahead of the pack and give you a real advantage towards becoming the first ever Million Dollar Web Hunt MILLIONAIRE!!! Ok, so it's been an amazing weekend! While I've opened up the site for contestant registrations, the sponsor sign up isn't quite ready yet. I decided that while I was setting up the sponsor sign up that folks could start registering. The response has been amazing!

The idea was that I'd start spreading the word through friends to come sign up while I integrated Paypal into the sponsor sign up. That way, when it came time to open up to sponsors we'd have a bunch of contestants already ready to go. That would prove this a valuable service. I didn't want to put out any press releases either... that is... until the sponsor sign up was ready. But, once again, the response has been a lot better than I anticipated.

I'd like to thank all my friends for spreading the word, you've done a great job! Keep it up! Remember that the more folks that sign up, the better sponsors we'll get, and consequently, the more we're going to give away!

It's crazy times when a guy can make $1,000,000.00 from selling pixels! So, a while back Mike and I went to lunch and I told him of an idea I had. As we discussed it, we decided that we could really make it work. We decided we could make another lucky guy, a millionaire.
